Leonard "Lenny" DiMaria is a New York mobster and Caporegime in the Gambino crime family. He is considered by law enforcement to be a close associate of alleged Gambino Boss Nicholas "Little Nick" Corozzo and has served as his right-hand-man for over 30 years.
In the early 1980s, DiMaria started getting involved in the Gambino family business and quickly became a close associate of Nicholas Corozzo. After getting promoted to caporegime and eventually, to one of the main chiefs in the family, DiMaria began a lucrative partnership with other caporegimes in Florida, calling themselves the “South Florida Crew”.
Followed by arrests in the years before, DiMaria pleaded guilty to 15 New York charges, including racketeering, extortion and loansharking in November 1997. Once released from prison in 2005, DiMaria returned to the criminal activities that initially led to his sentence and eventually found himself in the courtroom, once again pleading guilty to racketeering and extortion-related charges.
Leonard DiMaria will be 71 years old at the time of his prison release.
