The Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) is an annual meeting of students from all over the world to discuss global issues and innovative solutions.

At various working, skill and plenary sessions the approximately 1000 students create action plans, participate in workshops and build relationships in order to take steps in solving global issues.

Aside from students, CGI U is attended by non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs and celebrities.

The plenary sessions of this year's CGI U include The Power of Public Service, The Wisdom of Failure: Building a Culture of Creative Problem Solving, and Futurenomics: Creating Opportunity in an Unstable World. Confirmed speakers are among others Jon Stewart, Chelsea Clinton and Rye Barcott.

The Clinton Global Initiative was established in 2005 by former US President Bill Clinton. It brings together global leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to global challenges.
