Gene Kelly, born under the name Eugene Curran is one of the most beloved American actors.
He was also a choreographer, dancer, singer, and film director and producer.
Kelly's most prominent roles include classics like Singin' in the Rain and An American in Paris as well as many other popular Hollywood musicals in the 1940s.
The actor is a recipient of numerous recognitions like the Academy Honorary Award in 1952, Kennedy Center Institute Honors lifetime achievement award, and Screen actors Guild and American Film Institute awards in 1999.
Gene Kelly is also taking the 15th place in the American Film Institute's Greatest Male Stars of All Time list.
