Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines, the three biggest American airlines, are set to offer their first international
flights with internet service.
While all three already offer internet connection on their domestic flights, none has offered the service on overseas flights.
The pricing of the new service is not yet available, but United has already stated that it will depend on the distance of the flight and several other factors.
All airlines state the flights will not allow film streaming but will offer computer servers on the planes with films and Television shows that passengers could watch, for a fee.
Delta Air Lines Inc. has already stated it expects its whole fleet should have internet access in the next 18 months to two years.
