A high-ranking Iraqi trade delegation including 200 state officials and private investors visit Iran.
The delegation will discuss trade opportunities with their Iranian counterparts.
Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce Secretary General Jahanbakhsh Sanjabi said that Iraq is the main trading partner of Iran in non-oil goods.
He put the annual trade between the two countries at aroud $10.7 billion between 2011 and 2012, while bilateral trade in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar amounted to $4.6 billion.
The Islamic republic currently maintains a presence in Iraq's energy sectors, including oil and natural gas projects and other economic initiatives such as infrastructure.
