Fatah al-Islam members face pre-trials over clashes with army
About 90 suspected Fatah
al-Islam members are set to appear in court for a pre-trial hearing over their alleged participation in the 2007 clashes with the Lebanese army.
The pre-trial hearing will be followed by a public hearing.
Around 480 individuals are suspected of involvement in the 2007 battle with the Lebanese Army in the northern Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr al-Bared. Of those, around 200 are awaiting trial in Roumieh. The rest are either wanted or have died or escaped from prison.
Families of the prisoners have protested against the prolonged detention, calling for their trials to be speeded up.
