A massive collection of rare memorabilia of former US President John F. Kennedy is put on auction to mark the 50th anniversary of his assassination in 1963.

The collection, which belonged to David F. Powels, JFK's White House special assistant and long-time confidant, includes the former president's bomber jacket, private family photos, handwritten letters, the 1961 Inauguration Day photo album and other valuable personal items.

The auction is handled by McInnis Auctioneers.
