Microsoft is releasing business editions of MS Office 365. Unlike the standard Office package, Office 365 is a subscription service using cloud technology.
The Office 365 Small Business Premium edition can be installed on five PCs or Macs for own use. This package includes email, shared documents (with SharePoint, branded as SkyDrive Pro), as well as HD videoconferencing using a Microsoft-hosted Lync server. It includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Access, Publisher, InfoPath, and Lync.
The Office 365 ProPlus edition additionally supports up to 25 user accounts, and the Office 365 Enterprise version includes Exchange Online, with archiving and legal hold features. It also includes SharePoint Online and Lync Online to facilitate conferencing.
