Indiana's republicans may vote to push anti-gay legislation already this year

Republican legislative leaders of the Midwestern state are expected to make a final decision on the timing of an amendment banning same-sex marriage after consulting with their respective caucuses.

Senate President Pro Tem David Long, R-Fort Wayne, said the decision is simply whether to vote on the amendment this year or in 2014.

Some say the vote could be postponed until the US Supreme Court will make its decision on the matter in the summer. - Indiana gay marriage vote unlikely as lawmakers await ruling
