A peace deal is reached between Afghanistan and Pakistan following the commitment made by presidents Hamid Karzai and Asif Ali Zardari to reach the truce within six months. The two leaders met during a round of peace talks held in the UK on February 4.
Presidents of the two countries vowed to achieve the peace settlement during the third round of bilateral peace talks held at the country retreat of UK Prime Minister David Cameron.
"All sides... committed themselves to take all necessary measures to achieve the goal of a peace settlement over the next six months," said the statement released by David Cameron's office.
