CSR Europe (Corporate Social Responsability) is an independent organisation formed in response to an appeal by then European Commission President Jacques Delors (1995). CSR Europe works closely together with the EU to form a network and create an image of the ideal Responsible company of the future, Enterprise 2020.
The European CSR Award Ceremony is held for the first time to award successful partnerships between business and non-business organizations tackling sustainability through innovation.
The ceremony is part of a pan-European Award Scheme that also involves National CSR Award Ceremonies.
Both the national and the European ceremonies will present two awards. The first award is for partnerships involving small and medium-sized companies and the second prize is for partnerships involving larger companies.
The winners will be selected for the positive impact of their multistakeholder projects for society and business.
At the European CSR Award Ceremony, winners will receive an award certificate signed by a high-level representative of the European Commission.
