The second book co-written by former US Navy Seal sniper Chris Kyle is released. American Gun - A History of the U.S in Ten Firearms is a follow up to Kyle's American Sniper, which talks about the navy seal's military service from 1999 to 2009.
Kyle, considered one of America's deadliest snipers, was shot in early February at the Rough Creek Lodge near Fort Worth, Texas, along with his neighbor Chad Littlefield.
"They were shot at close range," said department spokesman Sergeant Lonny Haschel after the incident.
The shooter Eddie Ray Routh, a former Marine who suffered from post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), was arraigned on two counts of capital murder.
The two victims took Routh to the Texas shooting range for the day themselves to help him deal with his disorder. Kyle had been volunteering to help Marine Corps veterans suffering from PTSD and mentoring them.
