A year of protests ended Saleh's reign
A national dialogue conference is held in Yemen to push forward the process of political transition in the country.
Yemeni President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi set the date for the conference, which is aimed at drafting a new conference and an electoral law for the elections in 2004. The interim president described the conference as a "strategic and historic opportunity...to achieve a civic and modern state."
Hadi was elected in February 2014 as interim president to overlook the political transition following an exit deal which allowed former president Ali Abdullah Saleh to be eased out of office after 33 years in power.
