At least 350 residents are to file a case against the state at The Fukushima District Court
on the second anniversary of the disaster.
In what is described as the largest class-action on the issue against the state, citizens whose homes or farms were hit by radiation from the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant will look for compensation.
The plaintiffs will also seek damages from plant operator Tokyo Electric Power, looking for 50,000 yen ($535) in compensation for every month they have been displaced by the disaster.
