First smoking restrictions come into effect in Russia
First smoking restrictions in public places come into effect in Russia after a new smoking bill was passed by the State Duma on February 12.
Under the new legislation, smoking is banned within 15 meters of entrances to stations, airports, metro stations and ports. Smoking will not be allowed in workplaces, entrances to apartment blocks, children's playgrounds and on beaches.
