The largest food retailer in The Netherlands, Albert Heijn, discontinues the sale of products under its Euro Shopper label. The discount brand focused on long-lasting food and other commodities.
The Dutch supermarket chain is replacing the Euro Shopper products with its own discount alternative, the AH Basic. Albert Heijn is citing poor quality as the reason for the move.
The transition to their own discount brand is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
