Kuwait hosts the third Arab-African Summit under the theme 'Partners in Development and Investment'.
The summit will call to bolster cooperation between the two blocks in the fields of politics, economy, investments and civil society institutions.
It will also focus on coordinating the Arab-African positions towards political issues of common interest, especially regional security and peace.
The meeting will be attended by Egypt despite its suspension from the African Union. Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad, also invited Vladimir Putin to take part in the summit.
