The Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung or Frankfurt Motor Show is the world's largest motor show. The biennial show occupies 12 different buildings.
The first edition of the show was held in 1897, in Hotel Bristol in Berlin. Since 1991, the show is split up in two parts: even-numbered years how commercial cars in Hannover, while the odd-numbered passenger vehicles do so in Frankfurt.
